“Happiness comes from living as you need to, as you want to. As your inner voice tells you to. Happiness comes from being who you actually are instead of who you think you are supposed to be.”

There, Dr. Fisher’s clinical work focused on the acute treatment of PTSD, suicidal behavior, substance use, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. She served two six-month rotations in the Men’s Trauma and Women’s DBT program where she helped individuals during their most vulnerable moments move towards healing and regaining stability in their lives. Dr. Fisher completed her year-long APA-accredited postdoctoral training at a large evidence-based group practice in Los Angeles, where she became involved in the supervision and training of graduate students.

In addition to CBT and DBT, Dr. Fisher also utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to reduce emotional avoidance, and trauma treatments (CPT and PE) to help individuals overcome continued distress from trauma.

Her clinical interests include treating bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder for adults and adolescents. Her favorite part of her work lies in empowering clients to find compassion and empathy for themselves, while making valued-based changes in their lives. Dr. Fisher provides individual psychotherapy, consultation, and DBT skills groups.
