Shira B. Feinstein, AMFT

Staff Clinician for EBT Los Angeles

Shira B. Feinstein is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the clinical supervision of Rachel Fried, Psy.D.

A native Angeleno, Shira graduated from Harvard-Westlake High School and received her B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University. She enjoyed a decade-long career in non-profit fundraising in New York and Los Angeles.

Psychology was a natural second career for Shira, marrying her deep passion for helping others with her experience in education and motivating individuals to action. Shira completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. During her graduate studies, she interned at Pepperdine’s esteemed Community Clinic, providing therapy to individuals and couples.

Shira takes an active and empathetic approach as a clinician. She offers goal-directed, evidence-based therapy to impart tangible tools that help clients move forward. Shira believes that many individuals are not taught the most effective strategies for confronting challenges, so she encourages clients to develop new skills that help them quickly feel the impact of therapy across many aspects of their lives.

Shira has a particular interest in working with individuals and couples managing transition - engaged couples, newlyweds, parents, grief (both pregnancy-related and general loss), and career/school change. Leveraging her training in modalities such as CBT, DBT, and EFT, Shira has successfully helped clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, substance use, relationship distress, and other issues.

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.”
